Definition

Actualizaciones en Osteología (Online ISSN: 1669-8983) is an open access scientific journal and the official scientific journal of the Asociación Argentina de Osteología y Metabolismo Mineral (AAOMM). It publishes original works in Spanish or English addressing clinical or experimental aspects of osteology and mineral metabolism of interest to the scientific community. The journal publishes the following sections: Updates, Original Articles, Brief Communications, Case Reports, Editorials, and Letters to the Editor.

Manuscripts are evaluated through a double-blind peer-review process conducted by editors and independent external reviewers with recognized expertise in the relevant subject area.

All journal content is freely and openly available, and no article processing charges (APCs) are applied. Copyright of published articles remains with the authors, and the content is distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0).

Objectives

The objectives of the journal are to:

  • Disseminate original research findings and relevant scientific knowledge in osteology and mineral metabolism.
  • Promote scientific updating among healthcare professionals and researchers.
  • Foster the exchange of knowledge among researchers and professionals from different fields related to osteology and mineral metabolism.
  • Publish high-quality scientific work through an independent, transparent, double-blind peer-review process.
  • Contribute to the visibility and dissemination of scientific research in the field.

Scope

Actualizaciones en Osteología publishes works addressing clinical and experimental aspects of osteology and mineral metabolism that are of interest to the scientific community. The journal accepts manuscripts in Spanish or English corresponding to the following sections: Updates, Original Articles, Brief Communications, Case Reports, Editorials, and Letters to the Editor.

Manuscripts must be original and comply with the journal's guidelines and requirements for manuscript submission.

Funding

Actualizaciones en Osteología is funded by the Asociación Argentina de Osteología y Metabolismo Mineral (AAOMM). The journal does not charge authors article processing charges (APCs).
